United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Compliance Specialist in Harare, Zimbabwe. The duration of this post is 1 year.
The Compliance Specialist will develop and discuss findings, recommendations and time lines for corrective action with responsible officer of operations & programme activities audited/ reviewed, and monitor the implementation status of agreed recommendations.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Compliance Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Reviews and advises the GFATM Project Coordinator and other staff members of the GFATM PMU on the UNDP Rules, Regulations and policies.
- Participates in decision making on plans and policies affecting GFATM programme operational systems in the areas of Procurement, Financial and Human Resource Management.
- Enforces internal administrative/operational rules and procedures for programme implementation.
- Reviews for accuracy and compliance with rules & regulations of all the payments made on behalf of GFATM Project, reconciliation of expenditures, payments and bank statements.
- Implementation of effective internal controls, proper functioning of a client-oriented financial resources management system.
- Coordinates and certifies procurement of goods and services for GFATM Project, reviews and ensures proper procurement processes, certifies procurement/contractual reports.
- Oversees the PSM support provided to the GFATM Project.
- Supervises updates of the inventory of GFATM property.

- Ensures forward-looking information and communication management and focusing on achievement of the following results.
- Promotion of different systems and applications for optimal content management, knowledge sharing, information provision and learning including e-registry, web-based office management systems.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or other related area and professional certification in accounting or auditing (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIA, etc.) or a relevant combination of academic qualification and experience in a related area.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in providing management advisory services and/or managing staff and operational systems and establishing inter-relationships among international organization and national governments in developing countries.
- Solid experience in the management of people and systems.
- Experience of UN or UNDP procurement policies and procedures highly desirable.
- Experience of GFTAM Grant Management an added advantage.
- Fluency in English with good verbal and written skills.
